Chris Schat has been a part of the Oklahoma music scene for about a decade-starting in the synth-rock group Walking Relic in 2008. In February 2018, Chris started to play solo shows around Norman, and OKC as Schat and The Skeleton Trees. In the summer, Chris added a drummer to fill out the sound and has currently played over 20 shows as Schat and The Skeleton Trees around Norman, OKC and Ada.
